Primary and Secondary Sources
Reference Materials are generally able to be divided into two categories.
Primary Sources
- original records of an event
- can include diary, photo, letters, eyewitness reports, official records of an event, artifacts, etc.

Secondary Sources

writing and interpretation of later writers who've reviewed information in primary sources
